Well, I rent glad that you guys got it. It was like a flu shot. Yeah me all right. Let's go to oursocial media and find out what's happening there, radiofol its Newson twiter lot'shappening on social media. I pull went up asking what do you think ofPresident Biden's performance so far we had twenty onesand votes on this and well, Oh sorry, says twenty onevotes, the the responses or options where aMay average Joe, pretty good or excellent, sixty one percent thatexcellent and then twenty percent said pretty good ninepercent average nine percent may so. You know just just want to provethat I think like doing poles like that, prove to our audience that we havepeople from all. You know sides of the coin.Listening to this show, you know we're not agree, yeah right, yeah right right, that's why I brought thatone up also on our twitter. It's news to USfollow us on there, oh Ted cruws, there's a new photo that came out ofTed crews just yesterday and he's like...

...he's just standing there staring at something he looks like he said likea blank stare on his face. I wish I could show this photo of thim right now.Maybe I'll figure out that in a second but he's just like he has a he's, astain on his shirt in this photo filthy asshole sa o my shirt he's sogross. So we ask people to captune. The photois the thing, and here we go hi I can bring it up, but yeah like caption Captiun the photoon there there he is. I think people cansee that on our live stream. So there's this there's this stain on his t shirt and we said what do you think thisstain is on Ted cre's Tshirt? What do you guys think that is, I think, that's what I sure looks likeafter he's been on twitter for an hour pooge us some of the responses were, let's look at our twitter here. Somebody said what a Burger secretsauce somebody said: Yeurnal splashback Lindsay Granm Linsy, crn, Hosa granmas on his T,shirt, that's gross! That's so gross, but yeah he's just he's just aninteresting guy right, yeah, something like that. He waswishing he was in Cancun in this photo. That's. Why has that blank look on hisface? I should be in Canco with my g wife, but I'm not IAM Somin the wrongpart of Mexico right now and then, finally, on our social mediafollow us it's news to us on twitter. If you want to keep up throughout theweek we put out OA here, hang out it's goingto bring up our show. Prep no lives. Can we get Tho sea behind the scenes, but there was this tweet that went out. That said, once wehave a surplus of the vaccine, do you think airlines should requirepassengers to vaccinate or ithave vaccination to travel and a lot of people were like yeah? This is a really good idea. This should happen. I think so. Yeah almost like a passport yeah like Ithink it should be required to like get into concert and you know, go to amusement parks andthen that way, those of us who were responsible can carry our life on likenormal yeah. He want to be a Shityit, then you know I was thinking about thislike how hard is it to print off piece of paper that looks like one of theseguards. I mean pretty easy. I mean I'm sure you can counterfeit this Pritt. It's so easy. Well, they'd have to bepretty easy yeah. They'd have to makea more valid type of passport. Pretty muchomenteverybody, ick yeah, yeah yeah. You have to have a document and I guesssome like cruise lines and major sporting events are already requiringproof of vaccination. So if you get your vaccine, save that car take aphoto of it. Did you guys do that, make sure youback it up yeah and when we get the second one?Well, laminade it yeah ruckers Universityis, requiring students to bevacciated, do in person classes next fall? Oh really, Yep wow! I thinkyou're going to see a lot of colleges going that round, probably for the bad, probably most most public schools. You know yeah Vota, registrate or voter, shall I say:Suppression and the Uppression of registrate, stration and other things around voting is is like goinginto hi gear right now, Florida, Georgia and, as we said at the Star ofthe show twenty eight states, a hundred bills, are being proposed right now tolimit voting across the United States, and that is part of the dirty deets N. look at this week's most importantstories. LHAT' start out with okay hey'll start out with Georgia. Georgia what's happening inGeorgia, Katie because we'll go to Georgia, Florida and then Texas. Well in Georgia, on Thursday ThetGeorgia State legistature past the Election Integrity Act of two thousandand twenty one, they call it it's basically a bunch of votersuppression, crap. The key elements of the legislation are that they ensure new idearequirements for requesting mailand ballots, replacing the current systemwith which simply requires the signature. It bans the practice of giving food andwater to voters in line at pulling...

...station if wee ridiculous come on issuper crazy, because Georgias also known for having incredibly long linesto vote, Hey, reduce the amount of polling places. Yeah and they've alsoreduced the amount of pulling places on top of their already incredibly loglines. So people are protesting this and there was one state lel maker that was actuallyarrested, dis. You guys sell. You know what you know what's crazy about. Thisis the state the house, the State House in Georgia, pass itThursday morning went to the Senate. They pass it and then went to thegovernor to sign and he signed at televised closed door Thursday eveningso went through Ye three chambers and that's what we have one day. We have avideo of that protest right here. Go ahead, Katye then't play the video. Imean the bill gets even worse than that, because it gives the state legislaturemore power to take control of voting operations. They say if problems arereported, but basically just like how Donald Trump called everybody inGeorgia trying to get the election overturned this year. The onlymecanisms that were in place to stop it were the the secretary of state and other peoplein government were able to say. I legally can't do that. Well, they justremoved all those road blocks. So the next time somebody like Donald Trumpsays I want election overturned. The Georgia state legislature is in aposition to do that. They can do it now on their own truition and they can alsodo it a county level throughout Georgia. So if a Democrat wins anywhere inGeorgia and they don't like the outcome of that election, they can go in andoverturn that election, and here is Georgia. Stat Representative Park canand a Democrat. She was protesting that that closed door, siging that you guysjust mentioned and she was actually arrested and is now facing two felonycharges. Here's that video the governor is signing a bill thataffects all jorgans. Why is he doing it in private and why is he try to keepelected officials who are representing us out of the process? He's nounderrisfor trying to see goors doing our governor is signing a bl thataffects all Georganan, Electiv Representi urof course. They wouldn't give areason, and now she's facing two felony charges for protesting that reallymessed up stuff. That's happening right now, that's crazy and like she wasn't evenprotesting it, she was just asking to get into watch. Well, I guess yeah Imean. So what are the feloty charges? I want to know like what exactly did she? What Law Did she break she's, an elected representative? That was, Imean she has every right to be there right. What was the big deal? She's accused of being democratic, Righ, Ri, mccradin Merga? I have no ideaactually anything else with Georgia because Georgeas like I mean so,there's hat what else is happening Katie, becausethere's so much happening in Georgia. Well, they're also shortening the early voting period forall run off elections, because they just lost two seats in the semitthrough run off yeah and they're, limiting the number of drop boxes inwhich people can place their apps an TA ballots, so they'll basically have to travelfurther wait in line to drop them off the big thing with this, though, isthere they're saying it's like election integrity, even though the Georgiaelection for two thousand and twenty was recounted like three differenttimes, and there was no voter fraud found like the results, were itconfirmed three different times? Yes, my can counted to so what integrity are they talking about?Yeah and another huge argument they have for this? Is that theyrestreamlining voting and counting procedures to ensure the electicelection integrity, HM and people are upset about this?Obviously, and so a lot of businesses are based out of Georgia, includingCoca Cola, and also the ELA Delta...

...airline. Yes, Tome, DPO YEP and thefilm industry shoots a lot of TV shows in Georgea as well, so there's callsfor boycotts and all these companies to get out of Georgia Major LeagueBaseball is the players union wants to move the AllStar game out of Georgia now good. I hope they do so. You know why should? Why should anybody? Whyshould why? Should the the nation as a wholesupport SEORGE's economy when they're up to this kind of anti democracybullshit, I agree, but it's not just it's not just Georgia. So meanwhile, in Florida, what is happening in Florida, Katie well, on the same exact day that theinsurrectionist were storming our country's capital, trump alliddesantist was promoting another terrible bill called hb one well, twoof them HB ONE IN SB: Four? U Eighty Four! So these are proposals that are meantto repress black lives matter and other social justice protest throughout eight. This is like some people are saying, I's a precursor to some some some someblaws- that people are really going to at, because if you make it hard toprotest, then you know that means they're about to dosomething really eft up ies. It protest, Ta form of speech, Yeah Yeah, it'sprotected by the I tenf Te Constitution, yeah it is, but do you think you thinkthese guys cear about that, so hb one would send people to prisonfror the fifteen years for pulling down a confederate flag, yeah, oh o, going authere FloridaLhet's going on and also again there is this thing with you know you can't. Actually you can'tgive people waiting in line to vote water. That's also part of it to justlike. Just like Georgia, you can't you can't give people water, but here'sactually a video clip. This is bill sponsor governor. What's his name, thebill sponsored governor, Gone Wild that can't be has real twitter handle. Is it no? No it it really is, but it' Godbalawzy in Gol in Goglia, his real twitter andals governor gon, wild okayhe's from Florida. He sponsored the bill, and here here he is trying toexplain the reasoning behind not giving people waiting in line to vote water up a couple of things about water andline. I do think that giving and solicitingvoters in e line is a problem in certain areas and when you givesomething of value to a voter, especially if you're a candidate andyou're handing out something of value to somebody in line. I think thosepeople are more apt to think about voting for you because, oh you gave mean Aquaphena. So now I'm going to vote for you yeah. You give me a eighty twocent water. I don't care what you think about a policies. I got free water. Imean this is how thesee politicians think, because they're so easily bought, like I'm sure he was probably bought by the Republican Party with a six pack ofCoke Zero. You know: Fucking Coca Cola strikes Oagain, it's just so ridiculous. Okay! So that's what's happening, so this ishappening all over the country and meanwhile in Texas. So I mean trumplone Texas by fewer than six percentage points, and that is the thinnest marginof victory for any GOP Nomini. In America's you know biggest red stateover there, Texas, so now they're going to try to make it harder for people to vote, because it was a really thin margin. So it s skirred yeah, so same thing is happening in Texas aswell. I mean like this is all just so anti democracy, all of it all of it isit's like. I can't win someone to make it, so you can't vote so one thing. So the absente ballotthing in in Texas has always been a big point ofcontention. In fact, they didn't have a lot of that option, even during thepandemic and othey're going to try to make it even harder to have an absentbellet in Texas. You'll have to have a doctor's note certifying that you'reable to have a absentt ballot, a doctor's Nope, which I mean, I'm sure, there's like alot of liberal doctors in Austin that I'll just write that for you, alongwith your marijuana prescription. So I was going to say they should starthandthem out like they do Medicali d cards in Colorado. I mean the way theyhandle winter storms, yeah and elections. I mean it's about goes handin hand like you can't be surprised right, like yeah. I know unelievableChesus Christ, so we are our democracies under attack likeeverywhere and again again again. It's no surprise, though, and it's betweenthese election years that they try to get all this stuff going with a lot ofpeople are paying attention, so we...

...thought it was important to bring allthis stuff up this week. But how can you? What can you do about it? I thinkyou know it's important to look at these companies that are based inGeorgia and consider maybe boycotting or at least contacting someof these companies telling H M that that they that you disapprove of whatthey're doing coke, for example, if you just O cocacolacompany contact us thhave a contact form, you can tell them that they better get their shittogether or you are going to stop buying coke products real. Well, youjust BA coke products. Wow e take a minute of your time, really yeah. I wasjust thinking if I use any of these products, and I don't think I do, butwe have cokonar well nonk energy drinking our fridge right now. Yougotta give them a chance, though Youotta give e change yeah give them achance. FIRST SAY: Hey! If you don't, if you don't get your shit together, then Al we're not doing it anymore, but if they then, but you know what youbought, it is fine, maybe tell them that I just bought H, Wellwe ad againwe're going to tweet it yeah. Look. I supported you, you do your part now or this neveragain. Yeah we're breaking up also stop watching the walking deadbecause they shoot that there. But people stop watching on worry years ago.Nat done done, Asha that you're done with it yeah. I quit Wa, like so manyseasheres, so many movies and shows that are filmed with Georgia, though Ohyeah, it's a yeah, exactlyeexactly and liberal Hollywood is probably not goingto stand for this. Those liberals over there in Hollywood, those damn liberals, those TAMN WOKliberals. SO THAT'S HA! You can do about that, and people online are talking about organizing and stuff. There's Hash tax,its all that, but this is going to be an ongoing fight. Of course, what needso happen on a national level is voter reform. We talked about that wasn'tlast week or Sulf like what Democrats need to try to pushthrough. So go back to our episode. Yeah get ridof a Filli bus es a lot of work to be done, go get rid of the fillo buster, then voter reform. So I know, and a lot of these these voting laws areblatantly racist to we didn't. We didn't meniatione that becauseabsolutely important tomanch mentioned because they they're all targeted at you- know communities of color. A lotof them are so it's just really messed up. Maybe everybody needs to have theright to vote. I'm algorway Colorado, yeah, Colorado's, pretty good whateveryone fuck and vote by Mal yeah, if only Republicans, cared about voting asmuch as they care about their guns. Like it's easier to vote, my ree arteasier to get guns into g vote in Georgia, Florida and Texas now right. Iknow right we'll comig up we're going to talk to our guests and excited aboutthis, the two thousand and twenty two election, its it's already heating up. I guess it is right because, like it'sgoing to really start getting crazy here by the end of the year, so we're alittle bit out of the game. Tom Nelson is running for Senate Wisconsin andhe's going to be joining us next right. Here, live on its news to us, I'm Tom Nelson Ity game me county, executive and candidate for US Senate. Nineteen years ago this month my mompassed away from breast cancer. She fought tatonly for eleven years. Shewas strong, but she was also fortunate. She had health shirts. Not all of uscan say that in fact, thirty million Americans are without insurance andmany more are underinsured. So we'll talk to Tom Nelson, about thathe's very passionate about that topic, obviously, for a very good reason andhe's also really fassionate about union, he actually wrote a book on unionizing and there's a big storyright now, with Amazon with people trying to unionize. There soll get hisopinion on that and more. I think it should be an interesting conversation. YEU US ready to talk to him. Should weget him on the line yeah? I guess we should it's about thattime. WE'RE RIGHT! Back, though, don't go anywhere. It's news to us. We arealive on a B radio, we're also alive streaming video to if you want to watchthat that's available at our youtube channel, also our twitch and facebook.I guess probably the easiest way if you're listing you want to watch justto go to facebookcom sh, it's news to us for right now, we'll figure that outso it's Al One place eventually, but were right back, don't go anywhere. It's news to us, idbe radio, okay, Nese to us, were live on. IDBRadio, we're back here with our guests very excited. To talk to Mr Tom Nelsonhe's a Democrat running for...

...well for Congress Fir Senate in the twothousand and twenty two election coming up here quicker than we know and that'srepresent Wisconsin. He was a Bernie Sanders delegate at thetwo thousand and twenty DNC he ran for Lieutenant Governor and O thosand y tenand he's the author of a book too called one day stronger how one unionlocal saved a mill and change an industry. Ot has lot of talk aboutthere with Amazon and stuff, so we can get to that too, and also Mr Nelson just announced that he isbeating Ron Johnson in a poll by four points. That's breaking news. Welcometo the show great toty how about that Rod! JohnsonThas been in the US Center for over ten years, I'm just a little koun exectivemotigany couny in Wisconsin, and I'm beatin him by four points. That isamazing Wovit I mean look at you sorrid about it. Youshould feel great about that. That is a a big feat and I mean I would you must be like over the moonabout that right. Well here this is so when I ran forLieutenant Governor Tom Barrett, who was wunning for Governor Hi, was thependagovernor and he's now the mayor, Milwaukee silve Mare Milwaukee. He hadtold me that when you campaign it's careful not to ride the highs orself tothe lows, but just try to you know just kind of keep an even Kelans. I thinkit's especially important since this will have been at twenty fourmon, theCampin, so no it's great news were really excited all the work that wehave done, t e last five, a was five and a half months has really paid off,at least at this point now. This is one miles downe, but we've got a long ways.Absolutely you guys and we're behind you on this campaign. We want you guysto go all the way so we' going to make that we try not to be biased here, but weare so the cats out of the bag. Before we talk about the policy questions goodat I mean the Fox News, everybody knows their perspective, so why should we tryto hide ours right at least we're honest about it yeah? Iagree at least you're ONA Pol, that's acous, that's right before we get intosome of these policy questions, because there's a lot to talk about there welike to get to know ou our candidate guests on a personal level, a littlebit Jason. You had a question right wasthat yeah I di Yeah. That was my question yeah. I'm just wondering I'mjust curious. If you think that spotted cow is the best beer ever made, I think I'm more partial. I was partialto landing Cho Gos, but we've got a really realy, really good Grewr ercalled stone, seller, space and Appleton, and that is fallen away. TheBest I would say there is a close suck is on a close second with centralwaters. The only kind of reverse I know becausedead, carry from Neglaras Supportingi has supported me in thepast, and it was chipped in here there. So I should kind of bag that up aboutfifteen seconds, I love new glars. I love spottid Col and Wer BleseinWisconsin to Y had any number of brewers, not just the professionalsports team, though, but it's something that we all take a lot of pridein a lotof good lot of a lot of a lot of good Weis, all around the state right. Absolutely to follow up to that, I havea followup. Do you want to track bicycle? I don't what okay, I guess I I whatwh! Whatwhat do we say? We starg pop the Hour Bo the hour, honest, let's just beHoest, I actually be o well, thank you for Lgo and buy one. So next IME. I have aquestion like this. I can be. I can be honest and I can be don't don't buy onejust to be cool. It's okay! I appreciate the honesty and he probablycan't buy one anyway right now, I'm just wondering because strikeis basedin Wisconsin as well yeah, it's a great Wisconsin Company. Ithink, if you can, you know count on one hand. A number of established,Wisconsin brands. Trek is easily in the top side. You got the packers, we'vegot Harley, you've got Johnson Bill blots and you have truck bicycle thatsright, yeah, yeah, absolutely well. So this this other question who wrotethat was that was that K as well: okay, gason go for Youryou're all on it yeah. What was this other one yeah? Well, I just want to get to know you more. Whatwas the last TV show that you bench watched my wife and are watching called the split...

...hold the split and it's actually it'skind of I mean Wondr. If we should really be watching this husband andwife, because it the premise, is a law firm in London of family divorcelawyers, but you know, we've been, I shouldn't say we're binge watching, because whenyou're running a US Senate, race and you're running the county, bingewatching and you sit down, watch ut for ten hours, we usually watch it forlikeabout fifteen minutes at a time just because, at the end of the day, Woelprobably have just fifty minutes left in us before we just crash andfallwedteep. So that's the last one, but there's you know, there's a numberof good ones to you know that Flix is always good. That's reallygood one. It seems like well, you know making my murder Er,that you know I've watched that a couple of years Ho, but that was areally good one speaking it Wa yeah there was a. There was a second seasonto that making murder right. I tried to watch. I didn't watch that ID yeah.Nobody did. Nobody did unforly Hary to watch, but all right. Well, let's, let's talkabout B, t some actual business. I suppose Iguess that's why you're here you're not here to talk about Netflix, so yourecently put up a on your Tim. Whatever you guys want to talk about, you askthe questions. A give. The answers fair enough! Wello, like radio SHEC,remember Lak! Twenty years ago, you have questions, we have answered. Yes,child Toie, the MERCIAL. I you've got questions, we gotanswers and we still have radio shack, nothey're, all out of business they're all gone. I think yeah they went theway of blockbuster no longer with us, but such a major part of our lives fora long time. So you put up this billboad watchingyour documentary yeah go ahead. I was sjusti speaking of yeahyeah speaking of Venge, washing God, commanerys aen sure I think it's on. Itmight be UNHUU that there is a documentary on the rise and fall ofblockelter. You know soyea things where I kind of start watching the VEU andthen my wife Says No, let's go back to watching the SPLIDT and I'm like okay,we got fifty more minutes to go. Okay, Final Watch, the split by Di Justi meanI watch that bowing buster documentary before I fell asleep few nights ago,and it honestly put me to sleep. So if you want something to put you to bed, I would recommend Gane tenliums. Itwasn't bad, though I mean I'm not saying it was bad. I was just kind ofsilly is kind of silly, the there's another one where, where Ijust kind of caught it like halfway through the you know, it was Bill Gatesand warm bumfits in the candy store, and it's not an opening line to a joke. But I just saw was like what's going on here, they were no really I mean it wasa candy shop. Hou had warm buffet and Billa Gate. So if there's any listnersout there or viewers Harwr we're doing that Tho when I'm talking about hauling Lettur snow, because it's kindof Buggen me right now, one Shipa Nane nibw. If you know that nhundred and eighty Eighti Ni four three six, two four. So let's talk about your let's Si Yo Putt this billboard that Ithought was like really punk rock and pretty cool and it really pissed offRon Johnson and he, like he even went on a couple of talk, amtalk, shows and and expressed his dismay over this billboard. What did itsay and how did you get the idea for this billboard? Well, we've had three billboards nowthe most recent one said, and this is the one that he really got in angryabout is there is, what's a there's, no placefor racism in Wisconsin and of course it was a response to the comments thehad made previously to that, and so there was there was a Millaukee journalbusiness reporter who took video of a speech that Ron Johnson was givingthing was ak two weeks ago, and he said you know every time I go on the on and off ramp.I see this billboard Hi's kind of pause there, because we spent a lot of timetrying to figure out. You know what exit he goes on and off the most sothat he can see this billboard and turned out that it worked out becausehe said as much during this during this meeting, and he said you know thisbillboard is calling me o racist e pauses and like the crowds like grumbl, grumble and Hen, he says thank you Tom Nelson, so I guess I have a couple ofrental units in his head or something kind of kind of supplies. By that too Imean it takes a billboard to get the attention of the US senator. So wefoulowd that answer. But before that we had two other billboards, we hod areally really good response,...

...and it's just one way. I mean this isan upstar campaign, I'm just a little county executive, little pastors kidfrom Audi Game County. We don't have millions of millions like Ron Jons, Imean they guys worth a lot of money, I'm not some in law tebuildionaire. Soyou got to kind of think of those creative ideas to build your brand toget the message out and one of the reasons why I got in this race as Rerlas I did Otober twenty six. So we just passed our five month anniversary threedays ago, whowas counting, but I thought it was important that we giveno quarter, that we give nat one more day, one more week or one more monthfor Ronn Johns Without Holding Han pountable. So that was a week beforethe point twenty election and sure enough. You then had the hearings wherehe doing a homeland security where he was pushing out Thas this. These colid vaccines that were not itwas just a bunch of fake vaccines. You had challenging andquestion the results of the election, which of course led to the insurrectionJanuary sixth, and we weren't really prepared or expecting that Ron Johnswould go so for far far to undermine the fight against code. A to containTho question undermine the results of a Free N, fair election, that ginned upthis group that led to the insurrection on the capital, and then things havejust tumbled from there and gottenvot some words Andas far as it goes. Whatdo you think should the? What should the consequence for Ron Johnson andothers like Ted Crews B, for participating in this insurrection? From the inside I mean the Journal, sentnel called it,and shortly after we calle o Ron Johnson to Resa- and I call like Ithink it was insurruction happened, earl early afternoon by four o'clock. Isaid that said this fellows gotta resign, so we've pushed for resigning, wev pushed for some sort of action that the USAND can take to get rid of them.I think what this is going to come down, so I think this is coun down to agoodold fashion. BEAT HIM ON. You know take him on this electionand you know what about Criminal Charges Don' you think what happenedwas criminal, because in many eyes of Americans what wentdown on that day was a form of treason and insurrection andsedation. All those things are, I mean the highest crimes you couldhave in this country. Why do you think that those types of charges are so are being brought up enough? Hor, theideas of those charges aren't being brought up enough. That's a good question and I think onething that we have seen, though, is it's just one thing after another that he issaying to the point that you forget what he did ind said two or three weeksago I mean you know Ron Johnson has picked up. You know Donald Trump'sshoes ind doing exactly what Dhe trump had been doing for five years, and sothe difficulty I have is just keeping up with this guy. But you look at whathappened in January sixth, completely unpresinented in modern history, and we know what happened. This issomething Youno people said well, you know, is this still goingna be an issuen. The point to election course es coingo be anation te point to actionsmunition wit, Ponty, four election, O twenty six election. This is going totake a really big chapter in American history, you'll neverf. They will neverforget what happened on January six, so it is a little it's a little surprisingand perhaps a little disheartening that we aren't dealing. You know with thisissues. I think, as I think we should and that's anotherreason why you need to have a strong campaign that is holding henaccountable. That's a good question. I mean: where should we go from thispoint if we haven't acted on it? Yet when are people going to act on IMwhenre? We actually do something about. I mean, don't you think I we're justreally cavalier about this and we say: Oh you know we'll just elect this guyout Aren' we inviting other people to do it. Do this sort of thing again, Ithink that's kind of one of those big arguments out. There is, if theconsequence isn't strong enough ance to stop others from trying again that'sexactly right, and I think that we need to have you know very. You know whether it's just giving theseguys a shawaging in their reelection or pushing them to resign. You know, theyre, you know it's just frustrating and that's the big thing is nonjust. You know what kind of consequences should they you know should et get youknow, should they take fot what they did Therg? But what is the Caln ofmessage that this is going to send for...

...the next election? You know Yeu seewhat's going on with with Georgia, I mean this is starting all over again Imean here you are only two or three months after January sixt and we stillhave people they're just beginning to push these changes in electual lot, disenfranchise more and more people, so you're. So you're messing with this. You know you're changing a lot and you are creating the basis for people tochallenge the results of the next election and we could be just rightback where we were before yeah. Well, that that's a very realpossibility, that's going to happen, but let's, let's witch gears a littlebit here, so you wrote a book on unions and or a union in particular and rightnow, Amazon is under a lot of fire because of the way that they treattheir employees. When Amazon driver said in a recent report, quote everysingle day on my shift, I have to use the restroom in a bottle to finish myroot on time. This is so common that you'll often find bottles from otherdrivers located under seats in the vans. Oh, so how do we get these companies, especially Amazon? That of course, is helmed by the richers ban, the worldand, of course, the Waltons of Walmart. How do we get these companies to paytheir employees a fair and thriving wage? We need a completely overhaul, waber law. I was doing this interview earlier and we have not seensignificant major pro union laborreform for almost eighty years. The last timewe had a significant change was giving workers the ability to collectivelybargain and that had been back during the Great Depression. So it's been along time that we've had any type of up. The and, obviously you know work is alot different today than it was during the Great Depression. So our Labor wawsare completely outdated. We've not really had an opportunity to doanything about that, because we've either had divided government or theinstance twelve years ago, for whatever reason it just didn't really get onsomeone's greater, but we know that improving labor log get you know givingthe opportunity for people to organize all workers to organize is not just isnot just you know know it's just not. Not only is the patht to make sure thatyou have decent at working conditions, but that you know you're able to youknow, build up an entire in a workforce. Know that's the story of how the middleclass was built here in the Fox valley, through good pain, union paper jobs. Ifit had not been for that one of work, it had not been for a robust labormovement. I don't think that we would have the middle class that we have heretoday and that story. That story can happen for Amazon drivers, but we haveto have a change in law. It is long past time that we've had some. We havea couple F good champions in the US Senate. You have people like SharonBrown. We need more people like Sherof bround. That will look at theseeconomic issues that will look at all issues to the leds of organized labor. You know you know, you know whether it's healthcare, whether it's agreenand deal. You know, you're, not just talking about one set of issues, you're talking about a lot of things that affect all walks alife, and I meanyou're- think until we have that riht Lhen, I'm sorry what? U? What you're?Saying, though, I mean your sort of preaching of the Khuair here, of course,so I mean my question to you would be beyond preaching to the Khoir, becausewe all agree in all H. These. The statements is as somebody running for office. How doyou convince someone on the right that these ideas are things that willbenefit them because we've seen time and time again, people voting against their bestinterest? So what is your approach when talking to these folks? Well, I think what it comes down to youknow W, regardless of whether you're a Democrat or Republican voterindependent voter. We all want the same thing. We want to have good jobs, wewant to have a safe. We want to have safe communities, we want to all haveaccess to good health insurance, and so I think, if you talk on those overallgoals, I think you can build a coalition of support and we know thataccomplishing those objectives, the path assurant the sure way to do thatis through the Labor movement. You know how we have addressed issues ofinequality, how we've address issues of having fair trade laws? Not these badtray, Erk trade deals their ship jobs will receive that had nailmanufacturing state like Wisconstan, but using labor as a way to improve allof these issues- and I think I mean...

...mean it makes a lot of sense, but Ithink one any Democrats- ave not going to e- have not done a good job ofcommunicating that, but even before talking about those issues we reallyhaven't. You know you know we haven't really given folks a reason to vote. Imean we need to come off with specific, concrete objective, and then we alsohave to show result. We have to accompesh these things, a really goodexamples: the ACA, a lot of people lost o reelection in O, thousandand ten, butit took four five or six years for people. You Know Thet Wul, broadconsensus recognizing this was important. This is important, though, because millions of Americans that access to health insurance, where theydid not have health insurance to begin WITL. So the thing about that is youit's going to take time. Unfortunately, more than just one election cycle, newaccomplishand things accomplish this executive. Well, wewish you the best of luck and all of that- and I know that your campaign is,you know, and it's early stages and we'll be keeping an eye on everythingyou're doing.
